Old Cowtown Museum, a 56-year-old landmark site accredited by the American Association of Museums is an open-air living history museum that interprets the history of Wichita, Sedgwick County and life on the Southern Plains, circa 1865-1880. Old Cowtown Museum is dedicated to the preservation of 26 historic buildings, since the opening back in 1953. In addition to maintaining the consistency of historic preservation, Old Cowtown hosts peformances by Diamond W Wranglers, a multitude of special events, and other public activities.
A partnership with Old Cowtown Musuem displays to over 45,000 annual visitors your commitment to preserving the history of Wichita and Southern Kansas. Partnership opportunities with Old Cowtown Museum are very vast and extremely unique.
