New Laundry Items for the Collection
With the upcoming opening of the new City Laundry permanent exhibit, we have added additional items to our collection to broaden the space. These include an agitator, drying rack, and laundry dolly.
The agitator looks like a plunger. The copper head has holes drilled to let air and water expel when in use. The short, wooden handle gives the user a greater range of motion.

The drying rack hangs on the wall and uses its multiple bars to hang clothes. Using less space, this drying rack can hang six different items on the same piece.

The laundry dolly is used like an agitator in some ways. This taller item, over three feet, has a wooden cross handle for greater maneuverability. The six feet can spin and push down the clothing in a larger basin for greater cleaning ability.

These new pieces add to the laundry collection for a better interpretation of a small, city laundry.
